Very Nice as usual from VW, 250bhp nice as well

Bit mis-leading though when they say "permanent 4Motion four wheel drive"

It's Haldex which is not permanent, and as it comes with the DSG gearbox
it must be haldex.

There is a chip available for the Haldex system to change the way it moves
power about to shift it to the rear more aggressively rather than waiting
fro the front wheels to be close to spinning if you plant your foot hard
it moves power to the rear wheels quicker but it's £500 you shouldn't have
to spend.

I have seen these chips, they increase the timing of the hydraulic fluid
into the pistons. but as it's almost instant i can't see them being much
use, I know you can get a chip to allow the coupling to stay connected perm
via a switch, a bit like 4wd off roaders with selectable 4wd.

4x4 system as well <snip
Eh? Ronny just said that.

I'm guessing it will retail for around £20k, what do you guys think? And
what will be in its class?
Wasn't the old R32 about £26k?

I'm not really awake and I forgot what the Haldex system is, spent all last
night fretting about A levels

Good job one spends more time looking at the inside of one's car than
the outside, especially if you have the new R32 with its naff exterior
and lovely interior.

Doesn't the standard system only transfer power to the back when the front
starts to struggle for grip? I think the idea of these chips is to do it
whenever you press the pedal down with any vigour.

Well, they're making them in South Africa and calling them the "City Golf".

I'm sure google would bring it up.
