Well, at least I can console myself that I don't live in a pikey

It's the carbuncle on the arse of humanity up there.

Bit better than a Welsh sink estate, methinks.

This is the report for where I live:

"Often, many of the people who live in this sort of postcode will be
wealthy mature professionals living in large houses. These are known
as type 1 in the ACORN classification and 1.7% of the UK’s population
live in this type.

Neighbourhoods fitting this profile are found in large numbers in the
Home Counties, especially in South Buckinghamshire, Surrey (Guildford
and Kingston-upon-Thames), Hertfordshire (Watford and St Albans) and
Cheshire (Macclesfield). Here is an overview of the likely preferences
and features of your neighbourhood:

Family income Very high
Interest in current affairs High
Housing - with mortgage Medium
Educated - to degree Very high
Couples with children High
Have satellite TV High

Sounds a bit nice that does Mr Doug., or is it Lord Doug?
SteveH informs me frequently that it's in the middle of nowhere, so it
can't be that nice.

Are you going to wind him up by buying him a bottle of Lanson?

I'm buying a Volvo 850 T5 for myself and an MGF for the Missus on Wednesday.

Tuesday I've got a meeting in Brighton. Self employment sucks sometimes,
close on 600 mile round trip just to argue about a maintenance contract on a

Last time was a freak result and only came about due to Stevie-boy's
diving, cheating antics.

Thanks for the 6 points this season, though - you effectively handed us
the title with your inept performances in the most important competition
of the season.

From where I'm sitting, you're the one getting wound up - to the point
of making an Enfield-esque 'considerably richer than yow' post, which
appears to have slapped you in the face.

I'm not really buying cars, it was a throwback to a different dimension
of ukrcm, when the world was square, the drugs were free, when the likes
Glenn and Tanuki the Racoon-Dog meandered gracefully across the high
veldt and Hugo Taylor-Jones was king.

Isn't Athens more than 600 miles? You're only going there to watch a
bloody football game!

Where?

You called the whole of Liverpool "Pikey", I pointed out that where I live
isn't pikey, and you called it a wall pissing contest.

As for being "considerably richer than you", I merely pointed out that my
house is paid for and I didn't have to move to South Wales to be able to
afford it.. If you took that as meaning that I have more money than you then
that ain't my problem. I don't have mortgage payments to pay any more, so I
don't do too badly but I still have to work for a living. I'm just lucky
that I work for myself and don't have to worry too much about making ends
meet.

How that has backfired on me, I don't know.

I don't know what you were trying to achieve - you just decided it was
worth pointing out that your house was paid for (I suspect you didn't
realise mine was, so were trying to score points with that one) - as for
'didn't have to move to South Wales' - I'll admit, moving here was
influenced by financial gain, due to cheaper house prices, but ours is
now worth more than the place in MK was when we moved. South Wales had
the fastest growing market in the UK at the time we moved.

Anyway, the point being, I don't know who you were trying to impress -
especially as it appears we both own similarly priced houses outright.

I still say that Liverpool is a pikey shitehole, though, but that's 'cos
I'm a Manc ;-)
