why didn't he list his auction as "steaming pile of
crap, with free engine but you have to take the crap".

Probably something to do with the fact that he says you can take the
engine and *leave* the crap...

Oh yeah, missed that bit, Doh!

There's a good chance that engine weighs as much as some Locosts.
Still, fit it to some sort of single ratio marine gearbox, you could
just mount the engine on some wheels and make a very fast car up to
2500rpm or wherever the guv'nor is on these things.

A useful engine if you pull the arse through giants professionally.

That engine would be way more torquey than a zetec you know...
Hmmmm, so you'd recommend a MT75 rather than a t9 ?

And, of course, how do you bolt it up to said gearbox ?

Arrrggghh !!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Wanna buy a ZX10 motor ?
Don't think it'll fit Ye Olde Sylva.

Still trying though.

Having been a passenger in a BEC, no ta, I do "far" too many miles to
consider it

Not hard enough sounds like Having said that, my Zetec looks huge
compared to the crossflow, and that only just fits !

I'm itching to get the Zetec in, but can't really take it off the road at
this time of year so I'm having to find little things to do on it.
Hopefully, if we get the manifold finished tomorrow, it'll be running on
CBR600 carbs by the end of the day
