Default '06 Maxx traction control - underwhelming - 10-29-2006 , 02:19 PM

I get a hell of a lot of wheelspin even in the dry, and the traction
control only comes on in the most extreme circumstances. I've owned other
cars with TC and it seemed to be a lot more effective. Any opinions?

Yes, why are you dogging the car so much to cause wheel spin?

My '04 works just right. If you are under warranty, complain to the dealer
and have it checked out.

If you're dogging it to the point where the traction control needs to
kick in frequently, you're going to wear your brake pads down faster
than you can blink an eye. (the system applies braking to the
free-spinning wheel to transfer power to the wheel that is gripping) I
would suggest a little lighter touch on the throttle is in order.
unless you like paying for frequent brake jobs...
