2003 Malibu acceleration problems

We have invested in a fuel pump,fuel filter and a new catalytic converter for
a grand total of nearly $1300 + and it still doesn't give off the take off
power from traffic stops and on the highway. What could be the problem now.
It has 87,000+ miles.

first prob is your throwing money b4 diagnosis!!!!......second prob is not
