I have a 96 Lumina 3.1 with about 195,000 miles on it. It's in great running
condition except for 1 thing. I have a service engine light stating that
there is a Torque Converter problem. The transmission shifts fine except for
it doesn't go into overdrive. Does anyone know of a cheap fix for this? I
really don't want to spend more than 500 bucks to fix it since it's almost
dead. If there isn't a cheap way to fix it does anyone know of a way I can
get the code wiped so I can at least get the 1/05 inspection sticker
replaced with a fresh one. Since I live in an area that requires emissions I
can't get it inspected until the codes are clear...
