98 malibu check engine light

My check engine has been on for as long as I remember. I never worried
about it until last year when it wouldn't pass the new emmissions testing.
It was a O2 sensor, no problem. This year it's telling me that it's the EGR
Valve, so I had it replaced. It's still reading EGR valve air intake , and
my fans on the motor are not running. What's the problem???

did you check the fuse box? I can't remember where the fuses are for the
fans
but that's the first thing to check. If the fans don't work it might cause
the check
engine light to come on-- just a guess. good luck

These fans have relays also you may need to clean the intake out with
some carb cleaner...and check th wires to th egr valve...
Its a misconception that when it has a code you change out the part its
says on the code...Somethig else could be going on that might through
the code
