I have a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu with 106k miles on it. The 'Low
Coolant Warning Light' (and associated chime) now come on
occasionally. It seems to happen at random, although maybe a bit
more often after first starting a cold engine. The light always stays
on for a few seconds, then goes off.

The coolant level in the reservoir tank is right on its mark. I
replaced the tank cap. And I had the intake manifold gasket replaced
at 86k miles.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Just keep a eye on the coolant level!

Keep an eye on the level, if your not losing coolant it just may be the
sensor hanging up. Is the tank gunked up? If so take it off and flush it
out.
