Default fuel economy getting worse - 08-23-2007 , 07:42 PM

A couple of months ago, I was raving about the excellent fuel milage....
7.4L/100km.

I am now getting over 10L/100km.

I cannot replace the fuel filter, it is inside the tank.

What could I do to increase the fuel economy?

Thanks,

Micheal

My experience with this and other cars is to change what can be
changed (filters). Try using some fuel injector cleaner possibly the
type with upper cylinder lubricant.

Why do you think that replacing the fuel filter would improve the mileage?

Are you sure you're comparing highway-highway?
If the 10 is mixed highway and city, that would explain it.

Do not overlook the spark plugs.
