Default Hesitation - 05-17-2005 , 05:35 PM

I just bought this car three months ago. It is a 2001. When I take
off the car hesitates. I put my foot all the way down on the gas and
there is no power. When driving on the freeway, it takes a good 2-3
miles before it will pick up speed. 118,000 miles on this car. Any
suggestions would be great.

i had the same problem after i replaced my own intake manifold on my
malibu. I didnt realize that i had reversed two vacuum lines. on
vacuum line ran to the fuel pressure regulator and the other, I dont
really know. but i reversed them at the sensor. you may want to check
it. If your malibu is a V6 like mine the vacuum hose that runs from
the fuel pressure regulator runs to the back of the engine compartment
under the distributor coils. its fairly easy to get to but just follow
the line fromt the pressure regulator to the back. switch the vacuum
lines and see if that helps if not, well, just put them back, and I
dont know what else to tell you.

good luck.
