I have 92 caprice 5.0 engine. I know it being an older car I should be able to unlock it with a coathanger. Only thing is I dont know how. I dont have money to spend on a locksmith. Can someone help me out on how I can get my keys? Thanks

There are several option :
Breaking the window
call a tow truck they usual have tools to open it
in some communities where I live the cops will come out and use a flat piece
of steel with a notch.
You can buy the flat piece of steel with a notch cut in it and shove it down
the window and try to fish for the rod that opens the door.
Another thing after you got your door open run out and buy spares it will
save you headaches
