Default temperature problems 2001 chevy malibu - 07-21-2006 , 11:25 PM

i have a 2001 chevy malibu and the temperature gauge keeps going over the
middle trying to overheat... i've had it scanned a few times with an odb
scanner.... i changed the egr valve the thermostat the fan temperature
switch and the relay switch but i'm still having the same problems...
today i had it scanned once again and it read crank shaft position which i
don't think would mess with the temperature...the fan do no not come on so
i had to unhooked the relay switch so my fans run constantly... and nobody
seems to know what the problem could be

Very likely to be the engine temp sensor which would not let the
computer know that it needed to turn on the fans. This would usually be
a separate sensor from the one for the gauge.

HAVE YOU HAD THE INTAKE GASKETS OR HEAD GASKETS CHECKED FOR LEAKS THIS WILL
CAUSE OVER HEATING PROBLEMS AND NO CODES , LOOK IN THE OIL FILL CAP OR THE
PCV VALVE TO SEE IF IT LOOKS MILKY THIS IS A SURE SIGN OF COOLANT LEAKING
INTO THE OIL AND NEEDS ATTENTION NOW.
