I have a 2002 Malibu 135,000 k and for the past month I have been having trouble with a transmission leak at the pan. So I went and had the gasket changed and it still leaked. Then I had a new pan put on and I still had trouble. Then I added stop leak to the the transmission. Also I had it torque down to specs and it still leaks where the pan meets the transmission. There is a smooth surface no nicks on it or chips either. It is a rubber gasket and it leaks in the same spot. It is where the gasket has a guide. I am out of ideas as what to do. If anyone knows about this kind of problem, any ideas would be helpful. Look closely above the leak for a cracked housing. |
