Default 300M --- Electronics go mad? - 05-19-2007 , 04:33 AM

Hi,

first I think the battery is empty when my 300M is not starting and the
radio needs a code input. But something else seems to go wrong...

1st.: If I drive about 160 km/h and i switch on the high beam light it's
like a smash on the whole car and it is driving 20 km/h slower...

2nd.: The ABS-Light is going on

3rd.: The lights (inside and outside) is flickering

Can this be solved by a new battery? Or do you think I need a new
electric generator?

Did you let your battery changed by chrysler? I think this is rather
difficult...

Regards,
Eckhard

First you should check cable-connections, battery-cable terminals,
generator terminal and ground cable to the engine.

Ralf

Start with ensuring both the positive and negative remote terminals are
good, clean, and tight. That's a known trouble area and only takes a minute
to fix with a wrench. Then check the battery connections. Then consider
testing/replacing the battery.

Hi,

I know found out that the battery was dead.
But fixing the contacts is not sooo easy. For removing the battery we
needed to dismount the right front wheel...

Eckhard
