Any high grade imbecile knows the ignition switch should be a dash-mounted spst 20a rated toggle, not a impossible to diagnosis electronic module.

That way, if you suspect a bad switch, you can jumper it with a piece of 18 ga zip and two alligator clips if the problem goes away, youve solved the problem without the benefit of a VOM or even a Sun Master Tester.

Dont worry about vehiclular theft. We have strong grand-theft felony laws against that peril. Laws work, thats why we have strong gun control laws, isnt that so?

Yes, your condemning a good number of children a year to death, because
without
benefit of a lock on the ignition, the kids are going to climb into the car
and switch it on and
roll it into traffic.

Just like without benefit of strong gun control, you get morons like you who
run out and
buy guns then leave them loaded in the bedroom, where the kids can get at
them and kill
each other by accident.

But of course, since neither of these things ever happens, I guess you might
be right.
