Well, I finally got to the local DVLA office about my car with half a reg
doc..and no way of transferring it to my name......(because of it being
disabled taxation class)
At first the lady stuck with 'You need to tax the vehicle' I was so
frustrated, that she didn't understand that this car is a project, and it
could be months before it is ready for a test..... and legally it needs to
be registered in my name...She toddled off to see her supervisor....who
couldn't understand why Swansea had torn the registration document in
half....Taking the page with the little green slip on it....
Anyway....Oh Joy.....They eventually kept the piece of reg doc and
promised to send it off and I will receive a new document in my name.....4-6
weeks......But it will still be disabled tax class.....That can be changed
when it is next licensed.......and they put a sorn on it in my
name....Problem solved...I hope........Watch this space

Good for you, nice to see sense prevailed in the end, it makes no matter
what taxation class it is whilst it is SORN.

Alan...

Indeed, now while it's SORN go back to the DVLA when you're going to tax it
and change it out of Disabled.... Nightmares aren't they?

I bought three cars in January and all of them were disabled tax, which
meant I had to go to the DVLA pit of hell in Manchester to get them changed
to PLG, three times as I didn't buy the cars at the same time...
