In article <501e93a117dave (AT) davenoise (DOT) co.uk>, Dave Plowman (News) says... Anyone near Dorking or Horsham got an SD1 I could have a look at...? I've got a spare in the cellar. You keep your cars in some funny places, Dave. |

"Geoff Mackenzie" <gmac (AT) chapterfive (DOT) org.uk> gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying: Can you not get a generic solenoid and fit it as a stop-gap? What do the E-type restorers use? Didn't know there was such a thing as a generic - where would I look for one? A quick google for "starter solenoid" finds http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product_list/28 |

Wrong type, innit. Geoff's after one for a pre-engaged starter motor. Ah. Never seen those available separately from the starter. |
