Default Who knows anything about the 16-seater Grummans in Ford Air Service? - 07-21-2005 , 12:59 PM

In the 1970s I was working at the Ford of Europe John Andrews R&D
Centre in Cologne-Merkenich. Many engineers and later I myself often
flew to Britain on the Ford internal airline, which employed 16-seater
Grumman turboprops.

Can anyone point me to additional information about these early planes
used by Ford?

- Were they Grumman?

- Were they 16-seater? (They were very small indeed!)

- I remember they flew from Cologne-Wahn, and ~think~ the GB
destination was Stansted, although Stansted was not built up at all in
those days.

- How many planes did the Ford fleet contain?

- Any other information most welcome.
