It's official. My Mondial is accessible again. First time in 10 yrs
that I've been able to drive it myself. Totally forgot that there's no
power steering!

What are you going to do for a parts shelf now?

Nice? *Nice*?? Sheesh, we're going to pull the motor and do a complete
service on her this fall. She'll get a new clutch, too. We also spruced
up some of my old Challenge wheels and put those on her. 18"
Speedlines. They look modern, but not too modern. A subtle update that
can be put back to stock easily.

I was hoping we could borrow your 250 GTE. That's in pieces, right?

The new addition, 4139GT isn't exactly "whole".

Amazingly, even in that condition, the beauty of the design shines
thru.

Gods, I love these cars!

So anyone want to throw out an estimate as to what an engine out
service including clutch replacement is going to cost me for an '84 QV?

Start your budget at $5k and go from there...

Why would you pull the motor unless you were doing major remedial work to
the engine bay? Everything should be do-able with the motor in.

As for cost, who's doing the work? If its the "crew chief" then it shouldn't
be more than $1000-$1500 in parts - it depends how far you go & whether you
get into replacing things like distributor caps, ignition leads, fuel lines
& coolant pipes etc etc etc.

I.
