Default OT: Dropping off the radar soon... - 03-19-2006 , 01:29 PM

The missus and I are moving to an actual house this week.

It's in a different town, so internet will be disrupted a little,
as I'll have to figure out how to access the group with the
new system.

Words can't describe how good this feels, but MC put
it pretty well on a box of CDs he sent me:

"We outta here!"

No more apartment, finally in a house... No more sharing
a wall, floor, etc. with people who apparently never sleep
or work unless they're paid to stay up all night fighting with
their family members or having rough sex.

Yes, you read that right, one of our neighbors is a screamer...

*shudder*

Anyway, at the end of this week we should be all settled in
and I'll send everyone my new contact info.

Matt:

Congratulations on your new home. I purchased my first single family
detached house in 1975, and beyond being the best financial decision I
made in my younger years, it and my homes after then became the base
for many wonderful memories. I hope you have all the same, and more!!
Good for you.

Oh I know... This house only has 100 amp service. That'll need
upgraded pronto. Luckily my home inspection service was super
thorough (took 3.5 hrs) and I now know the house inside and out.

The sellers fixed a lot of stuff and we mostly just have to update
some things that are still 50's era. Roof is good for several years
yet, barring a tree falling on it...

....but yeah, when I'm having to buy a new garage door instead of
putting that money down on a new Triumph 675 or Ducati 1000SS
I know what pain is...

Thanks,

that? )

You caught me!

It's $3.79 for the first minute, $1.75 for each additional minute...

I don't imagine anyone's had to pay for that for quite some time now.
