In British Columbia, it would cost............nothing up front, if you are a
|
resident, and pay into the Medical Services Plan. Contrary to popular belief
among Americans it's not totally free! Just to people living under the
poverty line. By law, all permanent residents must belong to it. The monthly
fees are:
$54.00 for one person
$96.00 for 2 persons
$108.00 for a family of 3 or more
Our pharmacare plan, which is part of it, pays up to 70% of prescription
costs, depending on income, and 100% if low income people have to spend over
a preset ceiling.
