You consorted with AW magazine slime Matt Davis. Now, a "vision, based
on his words" of the 612 P 4/5 is on the cover of the latest issue. And
it looks terrible. The front end is hideous, the wheels don't look like
they belong, and the back end treatment is not P4-like.

Matt Davis is a fucking idiot. In his every column he manages to get in
how he lives in "his beloved Italy". He is not Italian but he acts like
he was born there, and shovels scorn at the American way of life every
chance he gets. He is Autoweek's resident dipshit and I hate his
columns. And now JG has to realize what a critical error he may have
made spilling the news of his prototype in FC Chat and certainly to an
idiot like Davis (if he even cares, maybe he doesn't and thinks all this
hubbubb is quite humorous). He can't possibly think such open
discussions would be held in confidence?

This doesn't put any heat on Ferrari at all, and it puts a lot more
unwanted heat on JG and perhaps Pininfarina (if, again, they even give a
shit about that).

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't believe this is the kind of
discussion-publicity he wanted. The gist of the latest musings in FC is
that the drawings aren't even close to the real thing. But it's Jim's
friends and inner-circle-residents who are making the speculation so
much worse. And Autoweek, well, Autoweek can be a great magazine, and
I've subscribed to them on and off since Satch Carlson wrote for them,
but in their latest iteration they are not much more than the E! of the
car world.
