Default Writer needs some answers about a Ferrari - 10-13-2008 , 10:03 PM

Let's say a character had a 2005 360 red Modena. Is all that
plausible, so far. What would that car cost? Is there a trunk and
where is it? Is the dashboard brown leather? Does it use paddles or a
stick? CAn it be a convertible and if so, where does the top go, does
it power down and hide or get taken off and stored? Is the seat hard?
Low on the ground? How is the visibility?

Your best source would be to go to eBay Motors, do a search on 2004-2005
cars. You'll find plenty of descriptions as well as tons of photos. And
it will give you a good idea of the current price range.

Rule #1 for writing: write about what you know.

The suggestion for E-bay and it's descriptions is good. You can also
do a search for "Ferrrari 360 Modena review" and it should bring up a
host of magazine articles and such along with it. That would probably
help more than what you are likely to find in this newsgroup.

Yep, we tend to stick to philosopical and religous discussion in here ;-)

(has that guy gone now? sheesh....)

The review search is a good idea, but if you are a published writer, you
could always ask Ferrari for a ride, you never know... (or failing that, go
to your nearest dealer and I'm sure they'll at least let you sit in one.)

Yeah, I could go do a dealer, or eBay, I just thought I might get the
answers quicker this way and save some time. Thanks.

As for options asking here won't help you much as all that it optional to
the original buyer, so color, gearselectors etc are selectable. As for the
convertible version it's called the "Spider".

Best Wishes
Thomas
