It's your car and you can do whatever you want to it.... but I
personally would not do it. Even if you leave an original radio in the
dash, you can still tuck the other away in the glove box, under dash,
etc. Personal opinion is to get one of the avaiilable radios from a
Mustang parts vendor that will handlea CD changer. Back in 1970 I
added an 8 track player in my 65 Mustang FB and I always hated the
"chuh-chunk" of an 8 track changing tracks in the middle of a song.

No. (shudder)

Buy one of the whiz bang super duper things that hide in the trunk with a remote
control.

The base was fantastic. We loved the country and the people.

Weused to have to wait at the end of the runway for planes in and out
before crossing. East of the base was a manorhouse which was the
officer's club (it's spacious lawns are where they held the Easter Egg
hunts :0)

#1 The Crescent in Prestwick was the boarding house we lived in when
we first arrive and when we were leaving. Mrs Mac ran the place. Heard
many years later that her German Shepard had gone nuts and killed her.
Went to Scout cap up in the highlands. That was great. And used to
camp on the lands of a titled gentleman south of Ayr.

In Troon, we lived in the home of an old guy who had been in the Army
posted to India. And we'd go downtown to a fish and chips shoppe (real
newspaper and malt vinegar!). Can't recall the address, but my dad
might. In those days, the coal, pink parafin, and milk were delivered
to the house. The bakery truck, veggie man, etc came by.

My best friend was David McAllister of Troon.

Dad bought an old Ford Anglia.... looked like a mini version of an old
49 Ford... with the pop out turn signal arms. :0)

If you happen down that way, whatever you can think of to shoot would
be appreciated. I've lived in a lot of countries, but Scotland is the
one I'd most like to go back to. Heck, I still recall the Scottish
National Anthem... "Scotland the Brave" :0) Not bad since I have not
been there since 1961. Guess it was the people who made it so
memorable.

Sorry sounded like a troll question to me. Not to many people want to
add an 8-track to vehicle, let alone hack up a classic car to do so.

Sorry, but I';ve got to ask -- What on earth would compel you to put
an 8-track in any car, let alone a classic that didn't come with it?
Good point...I will have to think about what you say .......what would you
recommend ? remember the AM medium wave in Europe is 9Khz steps not 10Khz
like the USA so it can't be digital tuning.....I have ruined the AM medium
wave radio that came with the car trying to fix it so I am a bit stuck.
:~( if you guys could look into this for me and give me some links to the
best deals for say a manual tune radio/cassette that would fit without
cutting the metal dash ? ...thanks jim (and I will stick the NOS 8track on
ebay)
