1997 f-250 WILL NOT SHUT OFF

I have a 1997 Ford F-250 4X4 that keeps on running even when I turn off and
remove the key from the ignition. I have replaced the ignition electrical
switch, but it had no effect.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

maybe you have to reset the switch that is on the column that is moved by
the ignition key.
