Default Crown vic Vs Town car - 06-07-2005 , 09:02 PM

Does anyone know if the transmission in a 4.6L 1992 Town car and the 4.6L
1993 Crown vic is the same?

Didn't Ford change the tranny around this time with a new advance shifting
technology or something?

I appreciate the feedback.
Thanks.

The 92 Lincoln could have the AOD(w/ TV cable) or the AODE(no TV cable).
The 93 C/V had the AODE, but the transmission in the Lincoln is still
unique to that year(1992) as it is for 1993, 1994(partial) up to 1995
when the C/V, G/M & T/C became more mechanically homogeneous.

You can do some in-depth looking around at:

to see if you can find a combination to help you out.
