Default Spoiler: Melbourne - 03-19-2007 , 05:15 AM

Well that was fun!

I don't have time to do it justice, but I'd like to say that I
thoroughly enjoyed the race, despite there not being a great deal of
on-track action. It was good to see the new boy do so well. It was
nice to be able to enjoy a Ferrari win after all these years of
gnashed teeth. ;o) Great to see McLaren back fighting at the front.
I'll want to see some more racing to keep up the fun-factor, but for
now I'm happy with the novelty value and the season being under way.

Horrible to see Honda failing, hope they get that sorted.

Hilarious to watch Martin floundering on the grid... Prime Minister of
*where*, does anyone know?

That was funny - especially since I knew who the guy was - it was José
María Aznar, who used to be the Spanish PM but isn't anymore.

Thank you! That's been bugging me... but probably not as much as it
did Martin. )

I enjoyed the race, too. Pity about that ridiculous rule on the use of
the two tyre compounds, though.

One of the FIA's more contrived nonsenses.

Dunno, I got a certain degree of Schadenfreude from seeing the Aguris
look more convincing. Rubens looked particularly lacklustre, I can't see
him getting another contract after Honda - then again the Japanese teams
do seem to like superannuated tuggers (Ralf, Jarno).

I didn't actually notice it making any difference. Maybe it'll make a
difference somewhere like Monaco, assuming drivers choose different
strategies to each other.
