What was that about having a lousy car and performing poorly?

No one seemed to accept that excuse for Villey, why should they do it for
Michael?

(evil laugh).

Ah! You know the story. Many fans don't like him because he has a big yap,
several fans complain that there are no driver personalities in F1 and that
the drivers aren't outspoken enough like in the days of Senna and Mansell.

When Kimi had a close call in todays race, Speed Channel's David Hobbs said
something like "I wonder if he's mumbling to himself over that one, like he
does in the post race interviews"?

I chuckled.

It should also be noted that JV is part of the 5% of current F1 drivers that
have the balls to race on high speed ovals. What about the other 95% you
say? Well, it's just too dangerous (i.e. sans balls) for them.

I miss the days when Prost would bitch about the polemic amongst the drivers
because he, Senna, Mansell and a few others were always at each other's
throats, even as team mates.

There was a lot of hot air, but it kept things interesting when they weren't
racing. Sometimes seeing them in the post race interview made me think that
they were 2 seconds from a fist fight.

I recall once, when Mansell charged through the pits and attempted to have
words (or more) with Ron Dennis but was held back by a gaggle of of personnel
from both teams (Williams and McLaren).

Now, F1 drivers are too worried about jeopardizing their sponsor's image and
are starting to remind me of some I see in America (Grand Am, ALMS, NASCAR),
where all they do in a post race interview is make sure that they mention all
of the sponsor's names while the mic is in their face while they're on TV.

F1 drivers don't do that (yet), but they're too complacent; save for one or
two.

Rather a poorly informed choice of phrases, ever heard of M/S Patrick...

...but otherwise very funny, sadly pathetically inane, but very funny.
Well done.

What you are actually saying is that it's very rare for an oval driver to
make it into F1. Of course we are talking talent rather than balls in that
case.

Yes, thanks for the clarification. What I was actually saying was that the
majority of F1 drivers are too scared (i.e. they believe it's not safe
enough to race in a high speed oval. But, thanks for the clarification on
what I was not saying.

I wasnt trying to disrespect JV, far from it, he is driving a shitbox for
pennies and yet Keke Rosberg among others called for his retirement after he
made the same mistake Schumacher made last time out.
The schufosi have slated JV since he came back into F1, anyone whos ever
proven to be quicker than the cheat is always instantly hated by the schu
lovers, its a lot quieter in here now he can only finish a few places ahead
of JV in the shitbox.
