Default Mosley's dream... - 05-18-2007 , 05:20 AM

If adopted, radical new engine regulations could be set to change the face
of Formula 1 from 2011 according to a document outlining the FIA's proposals
for the future of the sport which have been sent to all current F1
manufacturers, as well as both Ford and Volkswagen-Audi, who may join the
sport in the future.

engines
- 2.2-litre V6 turbocharged
- running on biodiesel fuels
- 770bhp
- restricted to 10,000rpm
- have to last 5 races

other
- kinetic energy recovery system
- traction-control
- four-wheel-drive
- power-boost button, 13 second per lap
- identical bodywork for all the teams

IMHO, he is proposing 100, to be sure to obtain at least 15/20 :-)

In the end they'll accept the engine rules and little more. The one thing
I hope nobody will accept is the "power-boost button"....

"Push to pass".

Takes a regulation and a button to facilitate passing?

Can't see either of these happening, but the others all seem okay.

Very nice Mosley. Very nice.
Why don't they just fit the GP2 cars with more powerful engines and
scrap F1?

Very nice Mosley. Very nice.

I despise Push-to-Pass.

I disagree with "identical" bodywork. I'll go with "less" bodywork,
however that may be figured out.

Can we not get the F*** rid of TC?

Traction control? It has already been banned, starting from the '08 season.

So why reintroduce it?
