Looks as if Fernando might have made the right decision.

Amen! It's about time things got spiced up a little.

yeh, as long as kimi leaves, it was right...otherwise there will be so
much whining into mclaren radio, that they will probably take the
transmitter out eventually

Forza Kimi the super pilot(e)!
Forza Giancarlo!

Tutto bene!

Let's hope the McRon holds together but Fisi passes Kimi on the last
lap. ;-)

The Renault suspension thing looks to be a big deal. Maybe Kimi staying
at McLaren is the right move. Kimi would have to have made a decision
by now.

No harm to Ferrari if he wins. It might make an interesting change of
pace.

Those McLaren pit crews will be a disadvantage.

I am under pledge to be objective, even though it pains me awful to say
this.

I agree on 2 of Brian's 3 points. Yes it will make things more interesting
and yes, the silver pit crew at times to be tarnished.

Our coverage team over here in the *New* World ;=̃ includes Steve Matchett
and David Hobbs. They have been raking the FIA over the coals over this
fiasco. Their chief complaint is the FIA "proclaims" that they are working
towards cost confinement. Then they tell teams that devices like this are
legal and once the teams seem to have invested great sums of finances into
development, they turn 180 degrees and ban them.

I can't seem to find any disagreement with Steve and David's argument.

I'll hold judgement on that call until we see if the Merc can stay together
a few races. Plus the crew doesn't trip of a sand granule.

I like Hobbs, but I hope I don't hear him saying that in reference to Kimi's
shiny silver "hot rod"

I'm not so sure Paul... Given that it's the German GP and the serious
kudos to be gained by a "Mercedes" being on pole, I wouldn't be overly
surprised if Raikonnen was in for fuel by lap 5...!
