There seem to be more posts now after the season is over, is this an
indication of how boring the races have become?

Probably not, but by God, what a boring "sport" this has become.

Explain your reasons for that statement? By which I mean, tell us when
it was better. Go on, cite examples. Thanks.

Iv'e only followed F1 since 2000 but I've and watched many older races on
tape and online. I've read a few and spent the money on Autosport and other
racing mags. One thing I strongly dislike about modern F1 is that it's
extremely hard for new teams to join and race. Watch a race from the early
1990's and earlier, lot more teams and more teams trying to get in. They
way it is now, how could a Williams get started in F1 unless he were already
a billionaire?

Villeneuve G famously complained how "fucking boring" the races had
become - in 1981!
His solution was 5L V8s, no wings and big fat slicks.

Nostalgia is coloured golden - just like Autumn.

LOL, basically what Max said. The big manufacturers have made F1 very
expensive, so new small teams could not afford to compete. Hence the cost
cutting stuff. At least now the big boys are leaving, we now have that
opportunity. It was what Max was banging on about and got nothing but shit
for.

Sadly though, with out serious cost cutting I don't think the small teams
will never be able to compete with out big boy backing. Don't even begin to
try Brawn as an argument against. Honda back dev + Merc. Then look at how
McLaren caught up with no testing. FI? Merc + luck. So, unless you are
Renault, Ferrari(Fiat) or Mercedes, you are never gonna compete. Assuming
Renault don't go too. And I'm not exactly sure they will be able to really
compete either.

If we really want new teams that can compete, we still need to limit the
money spent by the big teams. I suppose, although I don't like it, standard
parts would help.

I'm a bit worried that 2010 will see effectively a 2 tier grid with McLaren
and Ferrari doing the usual, and his year will be seen as a one off. History
might show that these last 3 seasons were a golden era.

ie. faster cars - but when I said that was the way to go in an earlier
post, the resident pricks shot me down.

F1 has a habit of throwing up surprises so we can only hope for the
best (whilst reserving the right to fear the worst, of course

Not at all, people are now reflecting on the season and the formula in
general. In general I think this season has been more interesting than many
recent ones, especially the 'Schumacher leading from the the front' years.

I haven't noticed any rave reviews of the U.A.E. track either. I'm
wondering if the majority of fans did not like that Tilke track.
