"If you look at my car, at my side-pod and the rear side of the car, it is completely touched. I think that shows everybody who arrived first into the corner. I was more than half a car in front." Asslonso, dear, you were more than half a car OUT... cry, baby, cry... bwuuuaaah.... |

He could have lost his race right there and then, with his front wheel just behind Alonso's front wheel. A wheel hop is not a healthy thing with these fragile things. 1a) On the other hand it worked, so good on him. 2) Alonso simply did not give enough space for Massa. The old "rule" says when a car's front wheel is up to the sidepod, the driver in front is supposed to allow some racing room. FA did not and simply squeezed Massa out. While i'm not sure there is an actual rule regarding this, he should still get a talking to from the FIA, but i guess it'll be written off as a "racing incident" since nothing much happened and he did get a penalty of sorts, being shoved back to third. IMHO, good riddance, that was very Schumacherish driving from him. -- Regards, Frank |

This number must be clearly visible from the front of the car. " (from http://www.fia.com/resources/documen...EGULATIONS.pdf) I can see that the car on the right is Number 1, can anyone tell me the number of the car on the left? |

IMHO, good riddance, that was very Schumacherish driving from him. It took nerve and some luck for a nasty one to be avoided. Both drivers had a lot to lose as they are both under pressure to get a result. Alonso lost out a lot more than just the 3 places. After a poor showing last time out (for whatever reasons) he needed a good one here. He didn't need to win but he did need to show some real form. Behind Kimi he lost that opportunity. Massa is now brimming with confidence and Alonso's head is down. Monaco needs confidence. |
