Bridgestone when racist when they started to refer to the soft tyres as
"whites"
Did they refer to them as "caucasoid"? or as "negroid"?

Bob, is "Chino Cherokee" your new nick, to replace "Hell & High
Water"?

I ask, just to update the r.a.s.f1 pool. You know, you have
already >> > scored some points, betting always on the red (on a red,
I should >> > say).

Careful - the PC police will be along in a minute. "Betting on the
red" comes from roulette. You're implying betting against the
black, >> you foul racist!

You are doing the racists proud.

And you are doing the stupid proud, as I might have expected.

You are ridiculing g.skinner for speaking out against what he beleives
was a racist comment. It was certainly racially motivated and I too
assumed the intent was malicious. I am not yet aware of any other
motivation. You are doing the racists work for them. If you are not a
racist you are ridiculing yourself also.
So you feel that the words "black" and "negroid" should be excised
from the language?

Can you quote any pejorative use of either of those words in this
thread?

Do you think that Lewis Hamilton (who I believe is the driver in
*both* of those pictures) would be offended to be described as "black"
or "negroid"? Why?

*I* think, Bird old chum, that the assumption that the word "negroid"
is some kind of insult, that it should be unmentionable, is where the
implicit racism is to be found.

I support anyone in speaking out against racism. I have done just that
in the past, and I hope I always will.

On the other hand, I will support no mindless stupidity.

The word 'negroid' can be used in both an offensive manner and a non-
offensive manner, it all depends on context. In the original posting
on the other thread the word was in my opinion used in an offensive
manner. If something in my view is wrong I will speak out against it.
If you don't believe that it was offensive, fine, I don't see why I
should have to refrain from speaking out against something that is
wrong just because you say it's not. A difference in opinion is common
in life, however it's how you deal with those differences that matter,
yours is to resort to insult and sarcasm, if that's what your into
fair enough, I'd just rather discuss things without the need for
insults etc.
I come here for F1 discussions not petty racism which in my view was
what the original post was.

Your entitled to your opinion - which you'll have gathered by now I
consider wrong-headed. However, if instead of discussing that opinion
you try to brand anyone who disagrees with you a racist, then in my
opinion *you* are the one resorting to personal abuse, and you should
be prepared to be abused in turn.

Let's see the first comment you made in response to one of my posts
was
"You are neither refrained nor restrained from standing up against
racism. Standing up against racism is good. Fuck off and find some to
stand up against."
This was hardly starting a discussion on the subject on your part, yet
you are quite happy to blame others for not discussing something. You
started with abuse and you may wish to continue trying to construct
insulting posts, but I shall take pleasure in not reading them as they
contain nothing of worth.
