won't work. You need at least 3l to get the best from a diesel. That's why
Audi built a 5.5l V12 for Le Mans..

Well, that's new to me.

But, on the other hand, I always thought that the ALMS Corvette C6r GT1 worked
better than the C5r because they ditched the 8 track player to save weight.

That and the carbon fiber glove box door and trim, yes.

I almost bought one. A woman I know said "Why do you want to drive your cock
around town for?"

No surprise for a pink 'Vette with blue stripes...

Well, that was in the mid-1980's, when the Mako Shark was finally replaced by
the version that resembles the one of today.

My brother owned a 1972 350 LT1, about 250 BHP. That was back in 1974.

It was a cool ride! After '72, the vette added 200 lbs of weight due to new
bumpers and they dropped the BHP to 150! What a dumper!

GM said "the fact that the Corvette sold well between 1973 and 1983 attests to
the loyalty of those who appreciate the marque".

No kidding. Until 1984, the cars were nothing but gutless crap!

I can see why an audience of billions for an F1 race on TV would be more
important than the meagre 100 k in the stands at a race, when a car is painted
like a "green screen" and computer graphics technology could put "Your Ad
Here" for the viewers watching at home.
This has been discussed. The idea is to apply a paper screen wrap
around the whole car and make (it) into an electronic billboard.
The technology will allow moving video images to be broadcasted on
paper-thin sheets.

F1 is a "TV sport", after all.
So bring back the one lap qualifying! I really liked seeing the
timed lap by each and every car on the field.

(but not according to Ross Brawn's opinion of
the ITV feed from his home in England).
I see F1 has already gone high definition with many broadcasters.
I suspect, Bernie may lend out a few goodies of his bernievision
(F1 digital) for free in years to come...
