Game, set match. And all Canadian!

Bhwwwhhaaahhhaaa!!!

I would consider being forced to hear Barbara Streisand doing Celine's hits, or
vice versa, to be less preferable to being waterboarded, while listening to
Robert "Vanilla Ice" Van Winkle, but perhaps that's just me.

So long as Eric didn't sing!

there's nothing wrong with Eric's voice.

Listen, I can't sing to save my life, but I got a better voice than
Clapton! He beats me on the guitar-playing front, though.
I disagree.
Clapton sings fine.

Clapton used to sound like shit, but he's learned how to sing, and doesn't sing
songs out of his range.

On the other hand, one of my favourites is Elvis Costello, who still sings like
shit and I love every minute of it!

Geez, put those two together and I'd rather watch a race. Clapton is the
most over-rated person on earth.

Jim Carrey and Celine Dion.
Agreed about Jim Carrey, talentless and I can't understand why people
like him. Didn't he do Ace Ventura? That was an insult to anyone's
intelligence.
You're a bit harsh on Celine - she ain't my cup of tea (then again,
wouldn't kick her out of bed, either) but her voice is pretty good.

But your opinion is worthless.
But worth you wasting your time to reply, PRICK.

What did you think of Ian Dury (RIP) then? Sing? No way. Brilliant? Yes!

I sampled it and it's pretty good.

There is a "sound barrier" to be broken when it comes to what you steal, and who
you steal it from.

There are a lot of bands who are up-and-coming that prefer if you steal their
stuff, 'cause then they'll get exposure and people will want to see them, and
they'll sell more stuff. Then there's the ones who have it all.

Back in the early 1970s when Led Zeppelin came to town, their manager Peter
Grant used to make a big show of marching into record stores and marching out
with their bootlegs. The media was always invited.

Now a days? No one cares about Zep. So Page, Plant and John Paul Jones
probably have guys checking out how many hits their stuff gets on Youtube!

And so it goes.

Stealing property is always bad. But when I download the Clapton / Winwood,
it's not of the quality that I want for my home theatre, so if it appeals to me
(and it does, thanks Paul). I'm a customer.

Paul B just sold another DVD of Clapton Winwood by telling me where I can
download the 1.4 gig sample. One suitable to watch and see on my computer, but
certainly not the one I want for keeps.

Super.

"This is the Modern World"

- Paul Weller.

No one cares about Zep?? I bloody do. As it goes, I think Page is/was a
better guitarist than Clapton, Hendrix, whoever. Just listen to the two
breaks in the "Lemon Song" for instance. A lot of what Clapton does is
incredibly repetitive. :-)

Actually The Pope is probably the most overrated person on the planet -
though the Dalai Lama is a close equal second with the Archbishop of
Canterbury and Ayatollah Al Khamanei.

I don't know about Celine. She's got a good vocal range, hits the notes
spot on, I quite like her songs, but (there's always a 'but') her voice
has just got something - I don't know what the right word is (timbre?) -
that sets my teeth on edge whenever I hear her. Something like the sound
of a dentist's drill.

He didn't have much rhythm and couldn't dance.
