Winwood and Clapton?
You bastard! Just don't die on us (yet).
I had the pleasure to meet an old friend last weekend. He's a successful
musician, a good sound engineer and other stuff. But I hadn't seen him in 20
years.
So, Ray (who lives in Studio City, California) says:
"Did I tell you about what happened when we flew to London to see the Cream
reunion?"
They were on the bridge of a massive rip off, and they had travelled from LA to
London.
Anyway, they did see it. And Ray, who has worked with some high end stars,
said it was the greatest show that he had ever seen!
I suppose sometimes, it's worth flying from LA to London, getting freaked out
because you were ripped off, having a story to tell, and eventually seeing
Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall.
That was in 2005, and his "I can die Happy!" moment.
