Justice was done. Zidane made Rooney's challenge look accidental!

Italy only conceded through an OG and a penalty in the whole
tournament. Pity it took penalties to win it. Well done to 'em anyway.

Fantastic result, Italy deserve it, they played better than anyone over
the whole tournament. Forza Ragazzi!

Was it a good party? Forza Italia!

BTW - who pulled Gattuso's shorts off? The team seem to love their
little "terrier." ;-)

Aye, after they've managed to defeat the mighty Socceroos with that
last minute lucky penalty, they were always going to win this. ;-p

Best team overall as far as playing proper soccer is concerned, was
Germany.

I didn't realise we had so many Italians! I know some that are studying
at uni and their friends but there are a lot more, even my friends were
surprised how many. Forza also the police, who came round the corner,
had a look at how many we were, and decided that the best course was to
close the road!

I don't know, I only saw him putting them back on - the screen was
mostly obscured by jumping shouting Italians and a huge tricolore on a
stick from the moment Italy won onwards...

So will the players get off the hook with regards to all that trouble in
the Italian domestic league? Didn't someone in Italy say if the Italian win
the World Cup the players should be forgiven for any match fixing?

Mighty Socceroos?! I admit, Italy didn't play too brilliantly in the
group stage, but in the knockout stages up to the final they were more
or less flawlessly brilliant. And in the whole competition they let in
two goals - an own goal, and Zidane's penalty.

I didn't quite know who to support between Germany and Italy (my Italian
friends told me to support Italy, my German friends to support Germany,
but I have no personal preference one over the other) but Italy played
well against the Germans. I thought that they did what was required very
well - it may not have been pretty and at times it was boring but they
knew exactly what they wanted and they achieved it.

Wouldnt even surprise me. The Italians are nuts about soccer and this
would even make a mafioso lower his gun. Anyone having their parole
hearings today will thank their lucky stars too. :-)

_None_ of the players are even implicated in what you've erroneously
referred to as "match fixing".
