Is that the man or the watch? ;P
Would I be greedy if I said both? ;-)
You do realise you'll have to shake both, to get them started ? ;-)
I think most men are happy to get a little jiggle in the morning. ;-)

That "expose the mechanism" paradigm is really tired.

Watches are in a real design cul-de-sac at the moment. Very few people
are actually pushing the design envelope IMHO. Interestingly, it's
happening in the low-budget end of the market. Philippe Starck is one
innovator, with the stuff he does for Fossil. I bought a titanium Starck
Fossil watch recently. I just wanted a complete break with all my other
watches, and everything I was seeing in shop windows :

You either like it or hate it. But at least it stands out from the
Rolex/Breitling/TAG "diver's/chrono/innards on show" zzzzzzz clone
brigade. You need a little courage to wear it : it looks pretty Star
Trek on your wrist, actually :-)

Starck just did a watch for Richard Mille too. I'm not crazy about it
though, but it's more interesting than Massa's :

It's a butt ugly, with its exposed star bolts and the way the shape of

Typo fixed.

the sides is dictated by the way the enclosure is fastened, instead of
the other way around. I guess it suits an F1 driver, all very industrial
and high tech.

You'll find it has nothing to do with how the movement is fastened.
It's just another "design".
Well I said enclosure, not movement. There's a load of blurb on the
website about how the watch is all one piece inside but it didn't make
it very clear exactly how it's done, obviously. There are some clever
touches but nothing that screams "this watch is amazing OMG you must buy
it" to me.

Absolute rip off, makes TAG look like Santa Clause.
It's like a high-tech Rolex, more bling than timepiece.

It's certainly expensive - they are dead keen on their titanium parts
and carbon fibre trim. I'm sure it improves the performance of the watch
no end to have the minutes marked out on a carbon fibre flange.

LOL.. <straps on kevlar watch> Go on.. shoot me as hard as you can !

Christ, Em! If I were honestly replying to that, I would have said "2
minutes"!

Blame my girl.... she's just too hot.
