British cooking is now well up amongst the best in the world. We have a large number of home-grown Michelin-star chefs, and that number is growing rapidly. The 2007 guide lists 122 UK restaurants with Michelin stars. Many of the restaurants in Europe which have been awarded stars are cheffed by British chefs. While Lewis is in Woking he will be within easy driving distancer of at least a dozen restaurants which will be able to offer a menu which is the equal of anything the rest of Europe can provide. |
