I can't believe eferrari (AT) heaven (DOT) net actually said...

This incident was far more interesting to me. I got quite a fright
watching the footage from DC's car live.

It is clear that Alonso both braked / backed off very early and weaved.
Has anyone heard an explanation of this? I think DC has every right to
feel aggrieved.

Also, it looked like Alonso backed off on the apex of the last corner of
the last lap with MS and a few other cars lined up behind him. The car
looked perfectly stable at that point. Then having done that he seemed
to nail it and fishtail a little onto the straight. That's a little
questionable given the congestion behind him, right?

So - what's going on?

Fucking Montoya.

Damn right. To initiate a conversation on that, we need to edit the
text a bit. Replace "Alonso" and "DC" with "Schumacher" and "Montoya"
in any order, and try again Brendan.
After all, only those two ever get involved in accidents, so to
suggest that another driver took out another driver is just simply
ludicrous and people will simply ignore you..

I agree, this is the more intriguing incident. I've been a fan of Alonso
all year due to his good form, but this I have to wonder about. The
complete lap onboard DC is available from http://www.f1onboard.com by the
way.

I've rather assumed that the explanation here is a good rookie with a
failing car not handling the problems very well, but with no malice. I
kind of get the impression that that is what DC meant as well with his
talk of not saying anything publicly but going to have a word with
Alonso privately about the incident.
