Look, genius, it's fucking weird. I'd wager most people feel the same way I do. Look around you when it's 90 degrees F, depending if it ever gets that hot where you live. How many healthy people under the age of say 80 do you see wearing sweaters in that kind of heat? I don't give a fuck what you saw in Tunisia or China, it's just not normal to be wearing sweaters in the dead of summer. Your ignorance is showing (again). Here in my part of the US, we see temps approaching 130 degrees F and it's not uncommon to see folks protecting themselves from the heat with heavier clothing on really hot days. My grandfather and his coworkers wore long thermal underwear daily when they worked on constuction of the Hoover Dam and the temps on the canyon floor occasionally topped 140. Personally, I prefer a light-colored, long-sleeved flannel shirt on hot days but I'm not going to begrudge anyone from wearing whatever floats their boat. Todt may have realized how much protection a sweater provides from heat radiating off the tarmac. Then again, maybe he's just off his rocker. Either way, what business is it of ours? Bud rumours in the paddock say he was also wearing a string vest!!!! he should stay away from the tube, eh? |
