While I agree that Sato was at fault for the incident, who does
Schumacher think he is knocking Sato's visor down when he confronted
him?

Would he of done the same to Montoya or Villeneuve? ......... I
doubt it, not without creating another Piquet / Salazar incident
anyway.{;o).

1. The tap was to get his attention - there was no risk of
decapitation.. 2. Sato has - shall we say - a track record, and his
driving has been brought up in driver's meetings.
3. Michael - like everyone else, has a right to be pissed off. Much
more than you sitting in judgement.

You should move on..

Sato's a menace. The sooner he's out of F1 the better.

For once Michael wasn't at fault and had every right to be thoroughly
pissed-off at Sato's driving, which would have been unacceptable even
for a rookie; It possibly cost Michael a podium, certainly deprived him
of a reasonable qualifying run position next time out.
So - what action was Mika entitled to take when he was discussing (in
almost the same spot) Michael's running him on to the grass in Kemmel
in 2000?

If Sato's fumble warranted a rap on the head, that one must have been
worth a disembowelling, surely?

Utter nonsense, no it wasn't. What is the point of just making things up.
A little bit of poetic licence. He was annoyed - but no more than that.

Remind me when he last did something like that?

Ian

A few years ago, he went ballistic after running into Coulthard from
behind.
(True, Michael would
prefer to torpedo other drivers amidships;>)

It was in heavy rain, there was a lot of mist and he drove right up DC's
roostertail. Then claimed
Coulthard was trying to kill him.

Really, you don't say. I've never heard of this incident, please tell me
more...

Time to move on Michael.

Just a tap, really, nothing more.

Why is it most Brits have a problem with Michael? I don't particularly
like him , but to fault him obsessively is over the top.

It's the chin. It's offensive. :v

That explains why the English, the land of chinless wonders,
don't like him. Thanks for the insight.

And if it had been Montoya in that situation rather than

If that is what you call a slap. he tapped Sato on the visor. big deal.
didn't Senna the Almighty punch Irvine the Cad?
i wonder
would all the anti Michael people in here
would feel great joy were he killed in a race. i'll bet hypocrisy would
reign were that to happen and they would be singing his praises.
