Two thoughts occur to me, one which Brian can (if he is so
interested?) help with, and the other just an observation.

Firstly, if championships were made up from points accrued either
side of the winter break (making a sensible judgement about where
the half way point is for odd numbered championships) who would have
won DWCs? Anyone different?

I would have been interested, but I wasn't well yesterday, so didn't
even read it until today. Thanks to Ian for a good (and rapid)
response.

Speaking of missing things, I tuned out after the black and white rag.

Apparently Legard or someone apologised for Button and/or Weber's
language; I heard they were reliving the last few laps animatedly.

Anyone here it?

Don't supposed you watched the NRL Grand Final from 2005, when several
Wests Tigers players, being interviewed by Matthew "just one of the dozen"
Johns, and they were swearing saying "best f*cking thing to happen to me",
without realising they were even on air.

Probably need to think twice about who they put on air and remind players
to watch their language...

Yeah, a sort of hyped up Button was trying to relive the excitement with
a rather shagged out looking Webber. So, imagine a couple of guys in a
pub chatting. So; "I fucked it up", "fucking awesome few laps", not
quotes, but that sort of thing. Clearly Butts had forgotten about the
camera.

Personally I'm not sure putting cameras on sports folk while they are
still hyped up after an event is such a great idea. With all the
chemicals pumping round the body and the release of the tension they are
bound to slip up, then get in trouble for it. Here we heard the evil "f"
word, but IMHO, it was this that gave Rubens the opportunity to slag off
the team, twice. Half an hour later I'm pretty sure he would have said
nothing. I wonder if it was wise to talk to Trulli so soon after his
crash with Sutil. He might not have dug such a hole for him self had he
had time to calm down and think about it.

AC
Maybe Trulli should have thought about that when he decided to start
shirtfronting Sutil...

WWJD?

Watch that one.... he has pictures.

Yup. A harmless "fuck" (not a fuck at all, just the word) was
uttered. Novocock stepped in with an apology where I wouldn't have
thought one necessary.

I thought it was a nod to the fact that such language is unacceptable
in polite company without making anything of it. I think it is
important to a lot of people who aren't necessarily offended by hearing
the word but don't want their children to think it is acceptable.
