WOW WHAT A FINISH IN GT 2.!! that is racin.
after 12 hours to be rubbin fenders at the finish line...
best sporty car finish in a long time.
will there be a fight in the pits?
Jorg Bergmeister is not a happy chap but as the other drivers have said
that's racing and you do anything to get that win.

A good start to the ALMS season, some teams have a lot of work to do
while others have surprised themselves and everyone watching. Should be
a good year!

oh yeah the ferrai beat the porshe

that's Porsche, and to me it looked like a Neckar finish. Kind of a
deliberate punt into the wall, but cheating comes naturally in a Ferrari..

Bergmeister was doing his "face like a slapped arse" routine after the
race - it was *tough* racing between him and Melo but certainly not
unsafe or unfair. JB reminded me of Ralf Schumacher in his petulance.

A strong showing by the Acura P2's, to say the least.

Watching them face-off with the Porsches this season will be a joy!

There were certainly a few surprises. Not least the appearance of one
driver who perhaps ought not to have been there ;P

The Porsches looked phenomenally quick in a straight line, but the
Courage^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Acuras themselves were very nimble. And whatever
happened to Zuffenhausen reliability this weekend?

no he wasn't. when he got inside the ferrari i thought he had it, but the
ferrai muscled back infront.

i liked his radioing the pits to get his team to protest to the stewards.
the steards were 100% correct in saying itwas just racing.

An old friend of mine who used to be with Holbert's Porsche team back in the
very early 1980's now works as the AGR transmission engineer with them. He was
an engineer with Teo Fabi's CART Porsche effort as well.

I caught up with what he was doing only recently because we lost touch and met
his brother recently. AGR asked him to work on the Acura project but he said
no. He's not into the travel any more. In fact, he brother said "Alex is sick
of racing, he doesn't even watch it on TV".

His kids are into Karts though.

The guy has forgotten more racing that I have experienced in my days and he's a
young buck, age 44.
