I think they are trying to flow you extras, all the extras are available
in Argos cheaper than on the "offer" page where they allegedly are
knocking 10 or 20 quid off everything

It'll make a christmas present

I just ignored the extras. I already have a steel (Sainsburys £3.00)
which works as it should.

Be careful when you open the pack, the knives are razor-sharp.

Oh, thanks for the link btw forgot that bit

Be interesting to see how carbon loaded stainless steel stacks up
against high carbon steel. Once I got the carbon steel knives (bloody
expensive) I haven't touched the stainless set, they just don't get the
same kind of edge on them.

Well, mine are absolutely razor-sharp, after a couple of years use. I
run them over the steel each time I use them, force of habit. I've
never used high-carbon steel knives, just too expensive for me to
justify buying them.

This knife-thing, it's a boys-only thing, isn't it? My curry forum has
lots of blokes comparing their ultra-expensive knives in great
detail... almost as much discussion as they have about what's the best
wok-burners to use for BIR curries!

Gillette spend a small fortune in the late 60's early 70's trying to
find a way to make stainless razor blades take an edge..

They are good - just a tad light, perhaps.
Don't buy *anything* but the knives, though, or they wind up costing
more than better knives.

Paul, it's a UK-only offer (again...). I'd love to offer them to my wife
Monique. Could we sort something out whereby you buy them, I send you
the dosh, and you send them to me? Paypal, bank transfer, whatever suits
you.

If you're up for it, email me at riczito at gmail dot com ? (The address
below is rather spam-saturated and I hardly use it any more).

Iffy security
"This web site does not supply ownership information."
"Connection partially encrypted"

Not seen that before
I thought the payment page looked a bit amateur all over.

Probably the company owner's kid wanted to do their site :-)

as I already had a set so wasn't entitled.

email me your addy and I'll send them to you as a prezzie.

See, I'm not all bad!!!
