Indeed, and I'm sure it's saved a lot of lives already. Mine included a couple of years ago when I overcooked things a bit in an 80 mph corner in the rain one day. Much flashing of lights on the dashboard as the back end stepped violently out towards the car coming towards me the other way at 50 mph (a rather more sensible speed for that bit of road in the wet) and then several more times as it got the subsequent smaller wiggles under control. 2 seconds later and the 130 mph closing speed collision we were otherwise heading for was just a memory. |
