I don't mind the language, but this is a family sport, and if I had
young kids watching I would probably be a bit irritated that they'd
allowed that to go out.

Time to join the real world Phil.. Your kids will hear much worse in the school playground..

As was pointed out to me by Jaz many years ago.
Well, I started watching F1 when I was 4 and I'm not so old that I
don't remember the playground!

Did he say "for fuck's sake" on TV, or did I imagine it? I thought they
delayed those transmissions...

You must be shocked. In a good way or a bad way ?

I bet there were kids in Milton Keynes wondering why Webber didnt get out
and knife the little cunt.

What was Sato doing? Can't they figure out when to send the next driver
yet or was Sato trying too hard to save fuel?
looking at the rules Sato is allowed to be there (yep saving fuel) so long
as he doesnt impeed another driver, the next car has to get out on a green
light or they are penalized.

allowed that to go out. As someone else says, usually there's an iron
grip on such things, and usually it's Bernie's...

Young kids nowadays far exceed their parents' skills of bad language.

I mean you know, if you like mean "bad" as like "sick", then i like,
must disagree.

As for Webber, he is no shy guy to say things as they are, shouldn't
be a surprise. However, as Phil said family time TV should not have
swear words allowed to slip through.
If you were on fire would you like us to add fuel ? I mean hell you're
already burning, a bit more kerosene won't make that much diff..

Yes, but there's a very important difference between what their peers say
and what the 'authoritative' world of the telly says

I like this quote from Webber about Schumacher at
<http://www.abc.net.au/sport/content/200508/s1443066.htm>:

"Sometimes even when he is in the shit he doesn't like to give or take,
but that is probably why he is a good champion".

Hmmmmm - "Schuie", "shit"... I guess Webber trod in it though! :-)

Note that the headline of the story is "Webber hits out at 'unsporting'
Schumacher". I wonder if the alleged friendship between these two is
over?

And what exactly did you expect to him to do with those cars?
Win the WDC? Idiot!!!
People like Fisi are the ones who have done nothing. He has had a
winning car and done nothing with it.

Yes but so does Fisico and he's certainly done nothing to warrant
keeping the drive. F1 is a little short on champions right now.

A rough mental count suggests to me that Webber has lost perhaps as many as
20 points this year due to breakdowns in a very average performing car.
Those lost points (plus points that would then have been taken back from
other drivers who gained at his expense) would have him sitting in about 6th
in the drivers standings. That would have made him the best of the rest
behind the Two Ferraris, Renaults and McLarens at this stage of the season.
That's a pretty good effort I think.

Rosberg by comparison has done almost nothing but is hailed as then next
coming...I know his lost points due to DNF (if any) would probably mean he
would still be around 12th to 14th in the standings.

Tim
