Hmmm, Luca left plenty of room for Alonso. Looking it over a few times
it looks like Alonso under-steered (unintentionally) in the wet.

Looking at it, there doesn't look to be any way Fred could have made
that corner on the line he took without drifting out and hitting the
Ferrari. Maybe he's still getting used-to the different handling of the
McLaren?

Yer, but it was TESTING. There was really no need for him to have gone into
the corner like that.

Gone into the corner... like how? The Ferrari gave way, he went inside
but understeered a little. Happens frequently in wet conditions while
testing in many racing series. Certainly nothing worth getting one's
knickers in a twist about IMO. Many of the stewards I know would agree.

Right, you wouldn't want to actually test the limits... Nah.

Just because we read nothing into the test times doesn't mean the teams
don't - he has a job to do, and he was trying to do it, but overcooked
it a bit. Nothing to get that excited about and we'd know nothing if
there hadn't been a camera pointed at it.

I am in total agreement with all on this, its not worth getting in a paddy
over. FA has a job to do and IMO does it very well.
I stand by what I said, that it was only testing and with a requirement to
push to the limit blah blah blah. However, he could have pushed that limit
without pushing Massa there was no need to as News puts it to "test the
limits"
there and then, he must have had empty track to do that on.
