Default Wheldon goes to BAR? - 08-23-2005 , 08:07 AM

Snipped from speedtv.com http://speedtv.com/articles/indycar/auto/19030/

"Wheldon, this year's Indianapolis 500 winner, is poised to take his first
IndyCar title by this season's end but has been linked - sometimes by
himself - to possible moves to Formula 1 (at BAR-Honda) and NASCAR. "

Hope he remembers how to turn the wheel to the right.

Highly doubtful.

Well if he doesn't then he's going to have some trouble getting around
Watkins Glen and Sears Point this season.

Why don't you try checking your facts before commenting?

I think you needed more ? in the header, which the quote hardly
justifies. Personally, I'd love to see Dan in F1 but the chances of
him being in a BAR seat seem negligible at present...

And remember, that's the same Dan Wheldon who won the IRL's first ever
non-oval race... this year's street race in St Petersburg...

I Checked a little and found him to be pretty accurate. I found there
are 36 races in this NASCAR season and only three of those events are at
Watkins or Talladega. 36-3 Yeah I'd say it's primarily a left handed system.

Are you sensitive to NASCAR because you like it or because it's an
American sport? Perhaps it's the commentators drawl that does it!

He's in the IRL, not Nascar.

What does Talladega have to do with turning right? Its a 2.66 mile oval.
Check your FACTS!!!

Really?

Erm, I think you'll find I was talking about the IRL where Dan is
currently driving. That's why I said *this season*. As Pete pointed out
I'd forgotten Dan had won on a street course this year already.

BTW - Talladega is an oval...the title Superspeedway does tend to give a
hint.

I'm sensitive to idiots who don't know what types of tracks each series
run on and then make stupid comments based on their lack of knowledge.

To be fair you could turn right at Talladega - just might be a bit messy
afterwards. ;-)
