The Cossie engines will probably be pretty good. They are not too bad in the Red Bull. Williams lost the plot when they lost Newey then Renault. |

That's interesting. Has there ever been a team sponsored by an airline? Bin Laden? Close, Saudi Air sponsored a team. Alan Jones, who else drove? They were quite successful as I recall and I wish I could recall more. No, for once he's right. Can't remember which team, but some of the cars carried the Bin Laden logo... Bin Laden being a large construction company in Saudi Arabia. It's a pretty common name out there, "Bin" being arabic for "son of" ("Bint" means "daughter of", hence the English usage of the word). It was Williams and Abilad(sp?), Mohamed Bin Laden's company. MBL |

So, HP have confirmed that they will not be the title sponsor of the Williams team next year. No news there I guess. Anyone have inside info on who might be stepping up to put their name on that car in '06? I'm assuming that its a British company due to the Buttongate-II wranglings and Williams' public comments that sponsors have been signed based on Jenson being at Grove. It's just all turning to poo for WilliamsF1 isn't it? Cossie engines, Bridgestone tyres, drivers wanting out, principle sponsors leaving... What a difference a decade makes. -- SQL> select * from users | Justin Wigg - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA where clue > 0; | http://juthan.blogspot.com no rows selected | Reply: justinwigg (AT) iprimus (DOT) com.au There's a rumour that BT (British Telecom) might be up for being an F1 |

Bridgestone build a great throw-away tyre, but they've been found out... (With Michelin leaving the sport in 2007 Bridgestone will be the lone supplier for F1 again.) Speculation. Probably pretty well informed speculation, but speculation none-the-less. Hmmm. Those Williams cars might look smashing in British Airways livery. Ah just a thought. That's interesting. | I think Sir Frank has gotten by all these years on just a little more than a wing and a prayer. Lets wait and see what the gentleman has up his sleeve, you might be surprised. I certainly hope so. I've been a Williams fan since I watched a Nigel Mansell interview on TV in 86 and then have his tyre explode a couple of days later in Adelaide. I have a horrible feeling they'll be competing with Red-Bull-Rookie and Midland next year though... -- SQL> select * from users | Justin Wigg - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA where clue > 0; | http://juthan.blogspot.com no rows selected | Reply: justinwigg (AT) iprimus (DOT) com.au |

Doubt the Ford engines will be up to scratch. The Cosworths on the other hand could be quite useful. (-: Ok, start running... ;-) |
